Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
This policy explains how Namio - Baby Name Matcher handles your data. It applies to the app on every platform it is published on.
Data on your device
The names you like, the names you add and your preferences are stored on your device.
Matching with your partner (optional)
If you connect with your partner, Namio signs your device in anonymously: no email, name or password is asked. To find your matches, it then stores on Google Firebase, our database provider: your pairing code, the names you liked and the names you added. Your partner's device reads them to show the names you both like. If you never connect with a partner, none of this leaves your device.
Purchases
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to know which purchases belong to your device: it receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history, never your payment details.
What we do not do
Namio shows no ads and runs no analytics. We do not sell your data, and we share it with no one beyond the providers named above, only to run these features.
How long it is kept
Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. Data synced for matching is kept while you use the feature. Disconnecting from your partner stops the sync; to have the synced data deleted, write to contact@independence.dev with your pairing code and we will delete it within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the data synced from your device, or for its deletion, by writing to contact@independence.dev.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has shared personal data through Namio, contact us and we will delete it.
